If you are graduating in spring 2025 or have a maximum of two years of work experience in IT, this is the opportunity for you!
ABOUT THE POSITION
For the ninth time, Scania is launching its popular I-Talent Program! The I-Talent Program at Scania is an inspiring six-month journey designed for newly graduated IT students with a passion for innovation and sustainability. You will gain practical experience in a specialized IT role (in this case, a Service Manager role), access to training, and the opportunity to collaborate with teams in IT, sales, marketing, and research and development (R&D). The program not only enhances technical skills but also develops soft skills in a supportive network – all to prepare participants to contribute to Scania's goal: to drive the shift towards a sustainable transport system.
This job description is one of many within the I-Talent program; here you can find more roles within the program and more information: Scania I-talent 2025! (https://www.academicwork.se/scania-i-talent-2025) | Academic Work
RESPONSIBILITIES
We are now looking for a Junior Service Manager who will work closely with the current Service Manager and contribute to improving systems and processes. In the role of Service Manager, you will be part of an international team. The team is divided between Sweden and Belgium, and the group works to manage and improve the flow of spare parts through IT systems, process improvement, and data analysis. They primarily work with spare parts planning systems and have close collaboration between various departments and stakeholders globally.
We are looking for an open-minded, goal-oriented, and structured person who is not afraid to tackle new and broadly defined tasks. You should have an interest in IT architecture and systems science, and be able to handle both technical requirements and collaborate with colleagues to solve problems and improve workflows. Your ability to think in a broader perspective and build good relationships with internal stakeholders in both Sweden and Belgium will be crucial for your success in the role.
You will be offered:
- An opportunity to grow in an international and diverse work environment.
- Support and guidance from experienced colleagues in the team.
- A workplace where process improvement and data-driven analysis are central.
- A development opportunity in a growing team within IT and systems management.
In the role, you will among other things:
- Work closely with a more experienced Service Manager who is currently in the team.
- Focus on ensuring stability and efficiency in the systems.
- Be involved in incident management and flow optimization.
- Be part of a team that focuses on process improvement and data-driven decisions.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU
In this recruitment, we will place great emphasis on your personal qualities and your interest in both the position and Scania as a company. Therefore, clearly motivate your interest in your application.
We are looking for engaged problem solvers who are eager to bring new ideas on how things can be improved. You also have good collaboration skills and take responsibility for your own learning. Even though you will belong to a team, you are expected to work independently on various projects. If this sounds like you, there are endless opportunities to develop at Scania; for example, previous I-talents now hold both leadership and specialist roles!
Formal requirements:
- A background in data and systems science, preferably with knowledge of IT architecture.
- Graduating in spring 2025 or having up to a maximum of 2 years of work experience when the program starts in September 2025.
- Ability to start in September 2025 and work the majority of the time from Södertälje.
- Very good knowledge of English, both spoken and written, as you will be collaborating daily with an international team. Swedish is an advantage but not a requirement.
- A willingness to learn and tackle new challenges within IT and systems management.
