Senior Network Specialist - Technical Connection

The Military Intelligence and Security Service (Must) operates within defense intelligence, military intelligence, and military security services.

We are now looking for an experienced employee who wants to work with the design, development, and maintenance of IT infrastructure within MUST. A major focus will be on maintenance, LCM, development and implementation of secure IT solutions, which also includes planning, technical project management, architecture, and contact with operations. Together with us in the section, you will contribute to effective information management being conducted, both in the short and long term. A gradual handover to operations will be planned over time, and collaboration with other sections will occur continuously.

Main Responsibilities

You will primarily work with the development, configuration, transition projects, and management of secure communication solutions and network infrastructures. The work may also include technical project management, planning, and operational support. The work is varied, and to succeed in your role, you will work alongside experienced colleagues. Your tasks will also include participating in and supporting the office's other operations. On-call duty and travel may occur.

Qualifications

• Academic/post-secondary education with a focus on networking and data communication, systems science, or equivalent knowledge that the employer can assess as equivalent
• Several years of relevant professional experience
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Meritorious

• Experience in developing designs for IT infrastructure solutions for technical project management and support during implementation
• Experience working with IP-based networks
• Deep understanding of function as well as design, configuration of routers, switches, firewalls
• Experience with VPN and log management, VTC, AV, and IP telephony
• Experience in developing DHCP and DNS
• Experience in development and tools for automation
• Knowledge in information/IT security
• Experience in automation and programming logic
• Technical project management
• Experience from IT infrastructure in the Armed Forces or other authorities within total defense
• Certifications in CISCO products
• Driving license B
