About the Role

Nowhere Networks is looking for a hands-on and adventurous Field Technician who enjoys tinkering, climbing, traveling – and making things work. This is a role for those who want to combine technical work with freedom and responsibility. You will install and maintain their network equipment on ships and masts, often out in the field where problem-solving on-site is crucial. One week you might be on assignment in Sweden or Europe, the next week you are home preparing for the next trip.

You will always work in pairs and handle everything from cabling and network equipment to electrical wiring and planning with the ship's crew. It is a varied and dynamic role with a lot of personal responsibility, where travel days and technical creativity go hand in hand.

Your Future Responsibilities As a Field Technician, you are responsible for ensuring that installations and maintenance of networks are done correctly and on time. You will communicate directly with the ship's captain, book logistics, and plan what is needed for each assignment – and perform the technical work in reality.

Examples of tasks:

• Install and maintain antennas, cabling, and network equipment on ships and masts
• Troubleshoot network issues on-site with customers
• Climb masts (up to 80 meters) to adjust equipment
• Tinker with trackers, radio devices, and power supplies
• Communicate with the ship's captain and schedule interventions according to timetable
• Prepare for upcoming assignments: plan, pack, and coordinate

We are looking for someone who This is a role for those who enjoy working physically and technically in combination. You should be handy and absolutely not afraid of heights. We prefer that you have some technical education in your background, but the most important thing is that you are solution-oriented, confident, and can take initiative.

We would like you to have:

• Driver's license B (manual transmission)
• Experience in technical work, preferably in electrical, networking, or installation
• Very good physical condition and tolerance for heights
• Swedish and English in spoken and written form
• Very good flexibility with the ability to travel often and at short notice

Preferred:

• Climbing training or experience working at heights
• Background as an electrician, technician, installer, or similar
• Previous experience working on ships or in the field

As a person, you are calm, responsible, and curious. You enjoy solving things practically, love technology, and appreciate variety – one day in a mast, the next day on board a ship in the Mediterranean. You also have good communication skills and can handle unforeseen situations with a smile.
