Description

We are looking for a Senior Optical Design Coordinator for an exciting consulting assignment with our client, a leading player in technology development.

In this role, you will act as a technical expert and coordinator in optical design for camera systems, with a particular focus on automotive technology. You will play a central role in ensuring that optical system solutions meet requirements from OEMs, Tier-1, and Tier-2 suppliers, as well as act as a key person in communication between internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Technical Interface: Act as the primary contact for Core/RA Optical Systems in dialogue with customers and suppliers.
• Management of Technical Investigations: Coordinate and conduct analyses in optical design and ensure that design solutions align with customer requirements and project goals.
• Technical Expertise: Provide advice and expertise in optical design and camera systems for vehicles.
• Support after RFQ: Manage technical inquiries and conduct design reviews after requests for quotations.
• Documentation: Update and maintain technical specifications and relevant project documentation.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in engineering, physics, computer science, or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of experience in system development for optics and camera systems (or alternatively 8 years combined with a PhD).
• Documented experience working with OEMs and suppliers in the automotive industry.
• Ability to work independently and drive technical investigations with high precision.
• Strong communication skills and experience handling complex technical discussions with various stakeholders.
