Job Description

On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced Tech Lead/Lead Developer with a strong ability to build and lead a development team while also being involved in the development work to create effective solutions. In the role of Tech Lead/Lead Developer, you will participate in developing web applications as well as the supporting microservices.

The development team you will be part of is completely new and will be organized throughout the year. This means that the initial period will involve the actual establishment of the team. However, it also means that you will have the opportunity to influence the team's culture, working methods, and choice of development tools.

Responsibilities in the role of Tech Lead/Lead Developer include, among other things:

• Contribute your own technical expertise by being involved in the development work and implementation of solutions.
• Extensive experience in driving and participating in development work (from requirements gathering to finished product)
• Coach and support developers to maximize the team's performance
• Design and implement technical solutions that align with the initiative's goals and business strategies
• Manage technical challenges and find solutions to complex problems
• Review code and ensure that the initiative's technical standards are adhered to
• Collaborate with initiative leaders to plan and prioritize tasks
• Conduct code reviews and ensure that development follows best practices
• Collaborate with other stakeholders to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Act as a technical expert and advisor for management and other stakeholders when needed

Given the complexity of the area with many stakeholders, it is of utmost importance that the Tech Lead has good collaboration skills. A Tech Lead/Lead Developer acts as a link between the development team and other parts of the organization and contributes to shaping the technical vision for the development-oriented part of the initiative. Work will be based on the organization's routines, processes, and tools (e.g., Atlassian Confluence and Jira).

Mandatory Requirements:

• At least 6 years of professional experience in system development using C# in the last 12 years
• Professional experience in developing microservices through event-driven design
• Professional experience in the role of software architect (or equivalent)
• Professional experience with Kubernetes for at least 3 years in the last 6 years
• Professional experience with DevOps for at least 3 years in the last 6 years
• Professional experience in database design and development (SQL/No-SQL) for at least 6 years
• Professional experience working as a lead developer on at least 2 assignments in the last 6 years

Preferred Requirements:

• Professional experience with DevOps tools such as TerraForm or Helm Charts in at least 2 assignments.
• Professional experience working with Kubernetes Rancher for at least 1 year.
• Professional experience working with infrastructure (Network, routing, DNS) in a Linux environment for at least 1 year.
• Professional experience working with BDD (Behaviour-driven development) for at least 1 year
• Professional experience with tools like Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ in at least 1 assignment
