GIL has coordinated personal assistance since 1989. The cooperative has roots in the Independent Living movement, which is based on the principle that those with disabilities know best how they want to live their lives. In normal cases, the person receiving assistance is the closest supervisor of the assistants, or a person with specific knowledge about the individual is appointed.

As a personal assistant, you support a person with a disability to live the life they want to live. To attract and retain competent and satisfied assistants, we invest in training and events. We believe that development and meeting others lead to motivated and secure assistants who enjoy working with us.

Hello! My name is Karl-Johan, but I go by Johan, and I am now looking for a responsible and proactive female personal assistant to help me in my daily life.

I am a talkative and pleasant man in my prime, and I hope that you, who are applying, have a sense of humor and enjoy creating a pleasant working environment together with me!

Working hours:

• Weekdays: 09:00-18:00
• Saturdays: 09:00-15:00
• Sundays: 09:00-17:00

The working hours are scheduled according to a rolling schedule.

I am looking for someone for a summer substitute position at 50-70%, as well as a part-time substitute who can step in as needed.

Your tasks will be varied and include:

• Assistance with household chores, personal hygiene, and activities.
• Support during outings and when I use my power wheelchair (where you are welcome to join me on my electric bike when I speed up!).
• Sometimes it may involve helping with writing or other administrative support.

About you:

• A driver's license is required as you will be driving my car for work.
• You speak, write, and understand Swedish well.
• It is an advantage if you have experience in care and support or have worked with people in other ways before.
• You are smoke-free as we are a smoke-free workplace.
• If you are good at cooking traditional Swedish food from scratch, that is a big plus!
• You are a flexible, responsible, and proactive person who enjoys working both independently and together with me.

About me:
I have a congenital CP disability, which means I need help with most things in daily life. I am a positive and active person who enjoys technology, watches, music, and movies. I am also a big animal lover and hope that you, as my assistant, share my interest in having fun and making everyday life meaningful!
