Nurse for VO Orthopedics - Make a Difference Every Day
REGION SKÅNE 12 days left
to apply for the job
Make a Difference. Every Day.
The Orthopedics area (VO) currently consists of three care departments, one located in Lund and two in Malmö. Orthopedic Department 11 is an acute care unit with 21 beds. The department's profile area is directed towards acute patients with commonly occurring orthopedic diagnoses. At our workplace, we work according to Region Skåne's Competence and Service Model, which provides a clear structure for your learning and career opportunities within our organization.
In our work, new working methods are now being established based on person-centered care and focusing on good interprofessional collaboration. The process is based on the work with the Magnet Model and is followed up in measurements and analysis where clinical nurses play a central and important role. Together, new paths are created towards good nursing. The goal is to shape a department where we can increase patient safety and contribute to person-centered care and increased participation in care for the individual patient by creating and maintaining a good work environment with many development opportunities for our staff.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Working on an orthopedic care department is varied and rewarding, where one day is not like the other. As a nurse, you are challenged and developed by diverse tasks, including both pre- and post-operative care as well as rehabilitation. Our operations are ongoing 24 hours a day.
At night, nurses work in teams with nursing assistants. Several teams are active during the work shift, and there are always colleagues to assist if needed.
The organization offers you a varied, stimulating, and educational job where you have the opportunity for personal development and training. Since development is important to us, we welcome your engagement in the department's continued development work. If you choose to work with us, you will be introduced to the work according to your conditions. Together with an experienced colleague, clinical teacher, nursing leader, and unit manager, you will be guided into your new job based on a special introductory program that spans over a year.
VO Orthopedics is the first in the country to introduce career positions for nurses based on a structured development program called the Competence and Service Model (formerly Core Curriculum). The program is divided into five phases, each including training and learning activities. The development program depicts lifelong learning with linked learning objectives that are both hospital-wide and specific to orthopedic care. Each phase is connected to a clear competence description, and from phase three, there is an opportunity for a position linked to salary criteria as an advanced nurse in orthopedics. Our goal as a department is to have nurses in all phases.
