The area of operation (VO) hematology, oncology, and radiation physics is responsible for all non-surgical cancer care and research-based development in the Southern healthcare region, with a population of approximately 1.6 million inhabitants. The area has outpatient and inpatient units in Malmö, Lund, and Helsingborg. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nursing assistant with us, you will be offered a varied and responsible job. You will work with common tasks for a nursing assistant at an oncology clinic. This includes assisting in doctor appointments, bladder scans, informing patients about upcoming examinations, booking and monitoring patients, blood sampling, some wound dressing, and EKG.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying are a trained nursing assistant, preferably with a focus on emergency care/healthcare according to the previous program structure, or a trained nursing assistant within the new program structure who has studied all specializations. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. We would like you to have experience in urology and working with urological cancer. Work experience in outpatient operations and previous work with Melior and Pasis is also considered meritorious.

We are looking for someone who enjoys contributing your knowledge to the work group and who actively participates in creating and maintaining a good work climate. As of July 1, 2023, the title nursing assistant became a protected professional title. This means that you will need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title nursing assistant within healthcare and social services. If you currently have a permanent position as a nursing assistant and are offered a new position, you can keep your title as a nursing assistant until June 30, 2033. At any interview/employment, you need to be able to present proof of the protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare or a certificate that you were permanently employed on July 1, 2023. If you do not currently have a professional certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare or are covered by the transitional provisions, it means that the title in your employment contract will be care assistant and not nursing assistant.
