Make a difference. Every day.

The habilitation clinic for children and young people caters to children and adolescents up to 17 years of age with permanent, congenital or acquired disabilities and their families. The children and young people may have mobility impairments, intellectual disabilities, and/or autism. The operation is based on interdisciplinary teamwork where medical, psychological, educational, and social competencies collaborate. We are now looking for a new nursing colleague to our habilitation clinic for children and young people in Kristianstad and Hässleholm. The position means that you will work at both clinics, and where you will be affiliated will be determined together with you and the responsible managers. Patients from both clinics come to Kristianstad for medical visits where there are appointments with doctors together with nurses. Otherwise, you will meet patients at both clinics, both individually and with colleagues in the team. You will work together with nursing colleagues from both workplaces as well as with colleagues from the Eastern area, namely Ystad and the National Gymnasium, but also with other habilitation services in Skåne.

Are you curious about becoming a part of us? We offer you an important and varied job where you will have the opportunity to work with children and young people in crucial developmental stages, in an environment with strong team anchoring and where a warm welcome permeates the entire operation! JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for you who are a nurse and want to work with children and young people! For our operation, it is natural that the work is varied and diverse. Our patients are all unique, and their wills, conditions, and needs are a changing factor that both enriches and challenges us in our daily work. In your work at the habilitation clinic for children and young people, you will come into contact with people, both colleagues and patients, who will influence and develop you both in your role as a nurse and as a human being. Here’s how our pediatric nurse Sofie describes what it’s like to work with us:

- I really enjoy working at the habilitation where I can continue to develop as a pediatric nurse. It is educational, and I have the opportunity to work with other professions in the team to improve the daily lives and lives of the children and young people we meet. This way, the work also becomes varied; one day you work with a special educator, the next day with a doctor or dietitian.

Your job responsibilities include providing medical advice and follow-up to children and young people and their families. You will work with areas such as nutrition, urotherapy, and pain, where you contribute your medical knowledge to the teamwork around the children and young people. Furthermore, you will work closely with doctors and dietitians but will of course also collaborate with other professionals in the team.

You will meet patients both digitally and in our premises. There will also be visits to homes and preschool/school, which may involve travel in the job. Additionally, you will participate in planning interventions together with children, young people, and parents, as well as other important people in the patient's network. Part of the job is to collaborate with other actors such as the municipal student health services, preschool/school, child psychiatry, pediatric medicine, social services, and more.

When you start as a new employee with us, we offer you both guidance from an experienced nurse as well as introduction and support in the ongoing work.

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in the role and thrive with us, you are a person who has a good ability to plan and structure your work independently and goal-oriented. You enjoy having many parallel tasks and prefer to have too much to do rather than too little. Furthermore, it is important for us that you enjoy working in a team, are a good communicator, and have good collaboration skills. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Regarding the formal requirements for the position, we are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with the authority to work within Swedish healthcare and who has language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale. Since travel is involved in the job, a valid B driver's license is also a requirement. We consider it an advantage if you have further education in health and medical care for children and young people, preferably trained as a pediatric nurse. It is also important that you are used to working with various IT systems and have an openness to digital healthcare contacts, e-health, and the Healthcare Guide 1177.

An extract from the suspicion and criminal record register will be made before any employment.

We hope that we have piqued your curiosity, and if you have questions about the position, you are warmly welcome to contact us!

In this recruitment, we apply continuous selection. We warmly welcome your application; we look forward to getting to know you!
