The adult psychiatric clinic in Arlöv serves the municipalities of Burlöv and Staffanstorp and is part of the adult psychiatry area in Lund. We assess, investigate, and treat people in need of specialized psychiatric competence. We have close collaboration with other units within the area and maintain a very good partnership with collaborators in the municipalities.

At the clinic, we are about 25 employees working in two geographically divided teams consisting of doctors, psychologists, nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. The unit also includes a medical secretary and a rehabilitation coordinator. We are a wonderful group with strong cohesion and a positive spirit in the team. “We are a lovely and creative group that both has fun and really works together,” says nurse Malin.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now welcoming a new nursing colleague to our clinic!

In this role, you will work with psychiatric assessments, counseling, and conversations. Furthermore, you will conduct medication follow-ups and perform tests/annual checks. You will work with both individual conversations and group therapy together with a colleague. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient group in terms of age, background, and issues. We welcome you to a well-functioning nursing team and provide you with opportunities for further education and regular supervision. You will also have the chance to specialize in various areas that fall within the scope of the organization.

Region Skåne invests in increased competence development for nurses. For newly graduated nurses, there is a clinical foundation year that includes lectures, clinical skills training, and access to a mentor. For nurses who wish to specialize, in addition to educational benefits in prioritized areas, a number of searchable training positions are offered where education is combined with clinical work over two years.

Working hours are Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:30, but you can manage your work by scheduling your patients, and flexible hours are linked to the employment.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with permission to practice within Swedish healthcare. You have language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale. A specialist education in psychiatry is considered an advantage. Furthermore, previous experience of working within psychiatry through ward work and/or outpatient work as well as good familiarity with care documentation is advantageous.
