At the Cardiology Department in Trelleborg, you will be welcomed by friendly, driven, and caring colleagues! The Cardiology Department belongs to the acute and medicine care area (VO). Here we work based on person-centered care (PCV), always focusing on the patient's needs for care, support, and information. Different professions complement each other with their unique skills, and together with high engagement, we create quality and team spirit. We have a well-structured introduction program with training days and opportunities for personal development. Currently, we work on a schedule with duty 2 out of 5 weekends. We have introduced MultiAccess, which gives you as an employee greater opportunity to influence your scheduling. We are also starting a work on the competence and service model, KTM, which we will work from, where you as an employee will receive a clear career ladder and plan.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In your role as a nurse, you are responsible for basic and specific nursing care. You work closely with patients and are responsible for patients where medical treatment and associated examinations occur in close collaboration with several professional categories such as nursing assistants, doctors, rehabilitation teams, coordinators, and contact persons against the municipality/primary care.

The department is equipped with monitoring systems for continuous registration of arrhythmia and ischemia. In your work, you will deepen your understanding of the heart's and lungs' circulation and how it affects patients. We care for patients with coronary artery disease, heart failure, and arrhythmias, as well as patients with lung diseases who may need NIV and Optiflow. Patients in need of continuous blood pressure monitoring (arterial pressure measurement) and those requiring vasopressors/intropi treatment are also present in the department. The care we provide is partly PM-driven, allowing us to start treatments independently immediately after contact with a doctor.

In Trelleborg, you have good opportunities to develop based on your own skills. It is also expected that you as a nurse participate in our scheduled training days for ongoing competence development of the group. If you are newly graduated, we recommend that you apply for the Clinical Foundation Year.

It is important for us that you as an employee feel security and stability while continuously receiving stimulation and development in your workplace. As a nurse with us, you will be assigned a mentor and will have regular reflection time with mentors and other new colleagues within our operational area.

The positions are permanent with work during the day and evening, but there may also be opportunities for some night shifts.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with the authority to work within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s level scale are required.

We are looking for you who want to help drive the unit forward together with team leaders, colleagues, and your immediate manager. You easily adapt to changing circumstances and have the ability to handle and prioritize when the pace is high. As a person, we want you to take responsibility and make your own decisions based on science and proven experience. We also value that you are engaged, interested in learning, service-oriented, and have good collaboration skills. You are committed to the patient, flexible in your working methods, and possess good communication skills. We want you to see opportunities instead of obstacles and be an ambassador for development and improvement. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
