At Hässleholm Hospital, extensive work is being done in the field of rehabilitation. Rehabilitation medicine is a neurological base specialty focused on the investigation and rehabilitation of significant functional impairments in individuals with acquired injuries to the nervous system and chronic pain. Our operations include both inpatient and outpatient care. Our working method is based on interdisciplinary teams that, with their combined expertise, plan and carry out rehabilitation medical interventions together with the patient. Most of our patients are of working age, with the goal of returning to work.

Rehabilitation medicine for complex conditions following neurological injury or disease helps the affected person build a bridge from a state of various life-restricting functional impairments to a more independent and active life with regained quality of life. Central to rehabilitation medicine is the collaboration between the individual, their relatives, and the interdisciplinary team led by a rehabilitation medicine specialist. The core of the medical specialty of rehabilitation medicine is rehabilitation methodology, which includes knowledge of the rehabilitation process, rehabilitation planning, measurement and evaluations, and knowledge of teamwork.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are now looking for a resident physician in rehabilitation medicine for the rehabilitation clinic in Hässleholm!

Our area of operations offers opportunities for broad training in rehabilitation medicine. The position also includes placement at Skåne University Hospital for six months to fulfill all the sub-goals of the specialty. Rehabilitation medicine is a specialty that invites a holistic approach to the patient. The specialist physician leads the medical work and has the primary responsibility for coordinating rehabilitation efforts. To thrive in our organization, you need to enjoy collaborating with others and have a desire to work on development.

As a rehabilitation physician, you will also collaborate with other specialties and care providers, as well as continuously develop care pathways with the affected person and the rehabilitation process in focus. In addition to rehabilitation methodology and neurology, you will gain broad knowledge of other related specialty areas to assess the person's overall situation.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who have an interest in rehabilitation medicine and are a licensed physician with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale are required.
