We are now looking for a dedicated and experienced nurse or midwife for our Gynecology and Breast Department in Helsingborg. In the spring of 2024, we have initiated the Healthy Workplace 90:10 project, which will run for two years. The project means that you will work 90 percent of your time clinically, and the remaining 10 percent will be divided between personal development and unit development. Continuous evaluation will take place during the project period to ensure the desired effect.

The Gynecology and Breast Department at Helsingborg Hospital is a closely-knit unit that conducts both gynecological and obstetric activities. We care for women of all ages and focus on acute gynecological conditions, both urgent and planned gynecological surgeries, as well as gynecological cancer. We have our own intake through our gynecological emergency department. In our department, we also care for breast patients after planned surgery as part of cancer treatment, as well as for postoperative complications.

The department has 12 beds, divided into two care teams. In your work, you will closely collaborate with a multidisciplinary team consisting of nurses, midwives, nursing assistants, and doctors. Together, we strive to offer our patients the best possible care.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse or midwife with us, you will work in a department with almost exclusively female patients. You will perform the usual tasks for a nurse or midwife in a care department. We place great importance on putting patients first and providing the care that each unique patient needs. We have a nursing assistant who takes care of My Plans on weekdays, a coordinator who manages the flow in the department, and soon also a pharmacist.

During the night, our emergency department is connected to the gynecological care department where the work is based. One nurse or midwife has primary responsibility for the care department and one for the gynecological emergency department, and they assist each other based on the current workload.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse or midwife with permission to practice in Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale are required. Previous experience in gynecology, breast, or emergency care is an advantage but not a requirement.

You are a calm and secure person with a genuine interest and commitment to caring for and providing all patients with high-quality care. As you meet patients at different stages of life, the ability to show empathy, provide good service, and deliver quality care is also required. You enjoy working in a team and have good collaboration skills. Personal suitability will be given great importance.
