The area of operation (VO) adult psychiatry Malmö is divided into three areas: general psychiatry, addiction center, and psychosis. The general psychiatry area in Malmö includes departments for inpatient care and day care, emergency reception, intensive care, and two larger psychiatric outpatient clinics. We actively work to improve and develop our care. With us, you will work with both psychiatric and somatic care. We have a close collaboration between professional roles and units, characterized by good cohesion in a supportive climate. Our goal is to provide good and safe care, strengthen the patient's and relatives' participation in care, and contribute to effective collaboration with healthcare neighbors.

Adult psychiatry department 86 is a general psychiatric inpatient unit with 17 beds. Here we care for patients with affective disorders going through severe crises and other conditions requiring inpatient care. The department is also a training and development department (PSUUA). This means that students on the ward take an active role and practice teamwork. Here we focus on learning from each other across professional boundaries. We start from the patient's perspective and participation. The department also has user-controlled admission (BI), which means that patients with self-harming behavior have the opportunity to admit themselves according to a contract.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse with us, you will be part of a team together with doctors, social workers, and caregivers. You will participate in the care of our patients and be responsible for psychiatric nursing work. Responsibilities include making assessments, holding supportive conversations, and managing medication. Additional tasks include ward rounds, documentation, and leadership. You will also act as a contact person for our patients, which involves contact with psychiatric outpatient care and the municipality.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you as a licensed nurse with the authority to work within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are required. Previous work experience in psychiatry is advantageous for the position. Additionally, it is meritorious if you have a specialist education in psychiatry.
