REGION SKÅNE

to apply for the job

Make a Difference. Every Day.

The Orthopedics area (VO) currently consists of three care departments, one located in Lund and two in Malmö. Orthopedic Department 11 is an acute care unit with 21 beds. The department's profile area is directed towards acute patients with commonly occurring orthopedic diagnoses. At our workplace, we work according to Region Skåne's Competence and Service Model, which provides a clear structure for your learning and career opportunities within our organization.

In our work, new methods are now being established based on person-centered care and with a focus on good interprofessional collaboration. The process is based on the work with the Magnet Model and is followed up in measurements and analysis where clinical nurses play a central and important role. Together, new paths are created towards good nursing care. The goal is to shape a department where we, by creating and maintaining a good working environment with many development opportunities for our staff, increase patient safety and contribute to person-centered care and increased participation in care for the individual patient.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Working in an orthopedic care department is varied and rewarding, where one day is not like the other. As a nurse, you are challenged and developed by multifaceted tasks where, in addition to regular duties, both pre- and post-operative care as well as rehabilitation are included. Our operations are ongoing 24 hours a day.

The organization offers you a varied, stimulating, and educational job where you are given the opportunity for personal development and training. Since development is important to us, we would like you to be engaged in the department's ongoing development work. If you choose to work with us, you will be introduced to the work based on your conditions. Together with an experienced colleague, clinical teacher, nursing leader, and unit manager, you will be guided into your new work based on a special introduction program that spans over a year.

VO Orthopedics is the first in the country to introduce career positions for nurses based on a structured development program called the Competence and Service Model (formerly Core Curriculum). The program is divided into five phases, each including training and learning activities. The development program depicts lifelong learning with linked learning objectives that are both hospital-wide and specific to orthopedic care. Each phase is linked to a clear competence description where, starting from phase three, there is an opportunity for a position linked to salary criteria as an advanced nurse in orthopedics. Our goal as a department is to have nurses in all phases.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with authorization to practice in Swedish healthcare.
