Are you ready to work in a community-supporting organization?

If so, this might be an exciting challenge.

To ensure that all animals in Sweden have the conditions to live as good a life as possible, there are the District Veterinarians. With readiness around the clock, clinics across the country, and unique knowledge about animal health, we contribute to healthier animals and a safer life. As district veterinarians, we work on behalf of private individuals, companies, and authorities. We offer community-supporting services for emergency veterinary care, disease control, and preventive measures for good animal health. Always with our feet on the ground and our hearts in the right place. The District Veterinarians are part of the Swedish Board of Agriculture.

Welcome to the District Veterinarians Kristianstad!

Our clinic is located in Vä, a few kilometers southwest of Kristianstad. Here, you are as close to nature as you are to the central parts with shopping, restaurants, and culture. Kristianstad is a city that is constantly growing and has good communication links.

Currently, ten veterinarians, one licensed veterinary nurse, four animal caregivers at different levels, and one team leader work at our clinic. The clinic is bright and fresh and is designed to create a good flow for both patients, pet owners, and staff. We are well-equipped with digital X-ray, dental X-ray, ultrasound, dental units, blood analysis, and an operating department. For fieldwork, there is access to ultrasound, endoscopes for stomach issues, and soon also direct digital portable X-ray. The clinic has a well-visited feed store where we also sell various dietary supplements, shampoos, and aids for both small animals and horses.

Our small animal clinic is open every weekday and is staffed daily by several veterinarians. We take care of preventive measures such as vaccinations, neutering, and dental treatments, as well as performing various forms of soft tissue surgery. We also admit patients with more urgent needs. We invest heavily in our small animal operations, which means there are good development opportunities.

Work with cattle is often of an urgent nature, but there is also a fair amount of surgery involved, such as cesarean sections, stomach issues, and hoof diseases. We also have several farms where we work preventively on a continuous basis.

The horse practice is mostly of an urgent nature, but we also have a number of planned visits such as inspections, dental treatments, investigations, etc. Some of our veterinarians also work with insemination services. Official assignments occur for both horses and cattle.

We are a cheerful group with a strong sense of community and supportive colleagues. We value good camaraderie all around and see it, together with our competence and service, as our strengths.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an animal caregiver with us, you will work at our small animal clinic, which is staffed by several veterinarians from Monday to Friday. The work is varied, including patient care, reception work, feed counseling, sales, and answering the phone for appointments and advice. Other clinic tasks such as hygiene, instrument and facility maintenance, as well as administrative tasks are included in the daily work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is an animal caregiver at level 2 and who is passionate about providing our customers with excellent service. As a person, you are communicative, engaged, and a team player. You enjoy working together with your colleagues and are attentive to both them and our customers. You have the ability to prioritize and plan your work to create a good flow in the workday.

We place great importance on personal suitability, social competence, and communication skills, and we are looking for a colleague who values good collaboration and contributes to a team spirit. Previous work in a small animal clinic is considered an advantage.

We have ongoing selection and interviews.

Warm welcome with your application!
