The mission of Child Psychiatry involves specialized child and adolescent psychiatry for patients up to 18 years old. The organization operates child psychiatric outpatient clinics in Helsingborg, Ängelholm, and Landskrona, as well as intermediate care that includes infant services and family day care. Child psychiatric inpatient care is located in Malmö.

The child psychiatric clinics are tasked with providing specialized outpatient psychiatric care for patients up to 18 years old, which includes patients with moderate to severe mental health issues. Assessment and treatment work is conducted in a multidisciplinary team characterized by close collaboration between different professional groups.

RESPONSIBILITIES

For those who want to work with patients suffering from mental/psychiatric issues and are curious about child psychiatric services, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop in your professional role with us!

As a junior doctor, you will work both individually and in teams, collaborating around the patient with care neighbors and other partners such as schools and social services. The workgroup consists of doctors, psychologists, social workers, medical secretaries, and nurses. There is also access to occupational therapists and physiotherapists in the area. We offer you supervision from specialist doctors and other colleagues.

The organization is currently in an intensive development phase with challenges in the form of new working methods. The work is characterized by high competence, close collaboration, and communication between different professional categories, with a strong focus on development issues.

The position is for a fixed-term employment.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed doctor or hold a medical degree with approved and complete eligibility to practice within Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale is required. This may also imply a passing grade in Swedish 3 or a passing grade in Swedish as a second language 3, or a passing result in Swedish for non-Nordic students equivalent to 60 credits. Previous experience working with children and families is considered an advantage.

You are meticulous and structured and have an easy time collaborating with colleagues and external partners. We value your commitment to our patients and the organization, and it is a given that you have a good attitude. Of course, you also work according to Region Skåne's values.
