The habilitation clinic for children and youth caters to children and adolescents up to 17 years old with permanent, congenital, or acquired disabilities and their families. The children and adolescents may have mobility impairments, intellectual disabilities, and/or autism. The operation is based on interdisciplinary teamwork where medical, psychological, educational, and social competencies collaborate. Our approach is family-centered, meaning that the family has full participation in the planning and evaluation of interventions.

We are now looking for a new nursing colleague to our habilitation clinic for children and youth in Kristianstad and Hässleholm. The position means that you will work at both clinics, and where you will belong will be determined together with you and the responsible managers. Patients from both clinics come to Kristianstad for medical visits where appointments are held with a doctor together with a nurse. Otherwise, you will meet patients at both clinics, both individually and with colleagues in the team. You will work together with nursing colleagues from both workplaces, as well as with colleagues from the Eastern area, namely Ystad and the National Gymnasium, but also with other habilitation services in Skåne.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for you who are a nurse and want to work with children and adolescents! For our operation, it is natural that the work is varied and diverse. Our patients are all unique, and their wills, conditions, and needs are a changing factor that enriches and challenges us in our daily work. In your work at the habilitation clinic for children and youth, you will come into contact with people, both colleagues and patients, who will influence and develop you both in your role as a nurse and as a fellow human being. Here is how our pediatric nurse Sofie describes what it is like to work with us:

• - I really enjoy working in habilitation where I can continue to develop as a pediatric nurse. It is educational, and I have the opportunity to work with other professionals in the team to make everyday life and life better for the children and adolescents we meet. The work becomes varied in that way; one day you work together with a special educator, the next day with a doctor or dietitian.

Your responsibilities include medical advice and follow-up for children and adolescents and their families. You will work with areas such as nutrition, urotherapy, and pain, where you contribute your medical knowledge to the teamwork around the children and adolescents. Furthermore, you will work closely with doctors and dietitians but will also collaborate with other professionals in the team.

You will meet patients both digitally and in our premises. There will also be visits to homes and preschools/schools, which may involve travel in the job. Additionally, you will participate in the planning of interventions together with children, adolescents, and parents, as well as other important people in the patient's network. Part of the job is to collaborate with other actors such as the municipal student health service, preschools/schools, child psychiatry, pediatric medicine, social services, and more.

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in the role and thrive with us, you are a person who has a good ability to plan and structure your work independently and goal-oriented. You enjoy having many parallel tasks and prefer to have more to do than less. Furthermore, it is important for us that you enjoy working in a team, are a good communicator, and have good collaboration skills. Personal suitability is highly valued.

Regarding the formal requirements for the position, we are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with permission to practice within Swedish healthcare and who has language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale. Since travel occurs in the job, a valid B driver's license is also a requirement. We consider it an advantage if you have further education in healthcare for children and adolescents, preferably as a pediatric nurse. It is also important that you are accustomed to working with various IT systems and have an openness to digital healthcare contacts, e-health, and the Healthcare Guide 1177.
