We are looking for a licensed physician with an interest in urology for the urology department (VO) in Kristianstad.

The Central Hospital in Kristianstad (CSK) is the emergency hospital for northeastern Skåne. Here, emergency care is provided around the clock by competent and dedicated staff. CSK has the resources of a large hospital combined with the closeness and community of a smaller hospital. We have approximately 2,600 employees.

The urology department has been an independent department at CSK since September 1, 2022, and is responsible for both planned and emergency urology. We have a broad operation focused on both benign and malignant urological conditions, and since 2022 we also perform robot-assisted cancer surgery. Our modern and fully equipped outpatient clinic has nearly 11,000 visits per year, and the forecast is increasing. The department has 16 to 24 beds for urological surgery, tailored for patients being treated for urological diseases.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are an expanding organization and are therefore looking for a licensed physician for a fixed-term employment. After a six-month temporary position, there may be an opportunity to start specialist training in the field.

In your role, you will work in both inpatient and outpatient care, which includes outpatient services, rounds, emergency and elective surgery. You will work under supervision with the possibility of independent work. Our team has an established collaboration with other urology departments in Skåne, and each week we participate in multidisciplinary conferences to discuss patient cases and exchange experiences.

Working hours are scheduled from Monday to Friday, with night on-call weeks. The position is in Kristianstad, but if you start specialist training, part of the training will take place in Malmö, where you will be able to participate in more highly specialized care. QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed physician authorized to practice in Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale are required. It is an advantage if you have work experience in urology.

For the position, you need to be flexible, as the operation can change completely and situations may arise that you need to solve on the spot. Since we work a lot in teams, we value that you thrive and flourish in different collaborative forms. In our work, we encounter many difficult patient groups, so it is important that you are both attentive and stable in your approach.
