We welcome a nursing assistant in Anesthesia to the surgical unit in Trelleborg!

At the surgical unit in Trelleborg, we offer surgeries in orthopedics for adults and children, maxillofacial surgery, ENT surgeries, and dental procedures. The department conducts day surgery and inpatient procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nursing assistant with us, you have a very important role in the team. In your role, you will work inside the operating room, assisting both doctors and anesthetists in their work. Another part of the job involves preparing and gathering relevant equipment and materials for the current anesthesia, as well as being responsible for cleaning and organizing the room for the next operation.

As a new employee, we offer you an introductory program tailored to your needs, and you will have a mentor to follow. We will develop an individual competence development plan together with you and offer continuous training days and other skill-enhancing training opportunities.

The working hours are 40 hours a week, only daytime, and no on-call duty.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with an approved nursing assistant education with a focus on emergency care/health care according to the previous program structure, or a trained nursing assistant within the new program structure who has studied all specializations. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing. If you have previous experience working as a nursing assistant in an operating room, we consider it an advantage.

This is a position for someone with a positive attitude towards their work. You take responsibility for your tasks, have the ability to structure your approach independently, and drive your work forward. Furthermore, you have a responsive and flexible attitude - you listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts constructively. As a person, you are calm, stable, and controlled even when situations become stressful. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

OTHER

As of July 1, 2023, the title of nursing assistant became a protected professional title. This means that you will need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title of nursing assistant in health and care. If you currently have a permanent position as a nursing assistant and are offered a new position, you can retain your title as a nursing assistant until June 30, 2033. In the event of an interview/employment, you must be able to present proof of the protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare or a certificate that you were permanently employed on July 1, 2023. If you do not currently have a professional certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare or are covered by the transitional provisions, it means that the title in your employment contract will be care assistant and not nursing assistant.
