Welcome to the Central Hospital in Kristianstad (CSK), a moderately sized hospital! Through short decision-making paths and a focus on employee participation, we create together an operation we can be proud of.

In the maternity ward, there are 12-17 care places, and here we care for women who have given birth as well as pregnant women who have complications during their pregnancy. Approximately 1600 children are born each year in the delivery ward at CSK. Here, we work to ensure that patients' birthing experiences and the start of family life are as positive and natural as possible. In total, within maternity and delivery, we are about 100 employees in the form of midwives, nurses, and nursing assistants working together.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a care assistant in the maternity and delivery ward in Kristianstad, you will assist patients with care such as food, drink, hygiene, and toilet visits. During delivery, help the patient to be active with position changes. Assist nurses, midwives, and doctors in various examinations of the patient. Individual assessment of delegation of tasks from licensed personnel to the individual assistant. During maternity care, assist parents with the care of the newborn, such as diaper changing, bathing, and breastfeeding. Transport patients and materials between departments. Clean rooms after patients.

During the employment period as a care assistant, the assistant will take exams for nursing and midwifery licenses as well as the Swedish language. Once the assistant has obtained their nursing and midwifery licenses, they will be employed with a new employment contract and new salary as a nurse or midwife.

To increase patient safety, we work, among other things, with the Green Cross. We care for each other and share joy at work and a sense of community. We use a booking schedule. Leadership at the workplace is close to operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who have started your knowledge tests for Swedish licensing as a midwife, or you who are a midwife with a degree from a country other than Sweden and are studying Swedish at level C1. Additionally, you have basic IT skills.
