We are now looking for a trained care assistant who wants to work in elderly care!
Would you like to be part of a friendly team that enhances our clients' quality of life? We need to strengthen our team with a positive, flexible, and committed care assistant at the special accommodation Brinkehem in Brösarp.
In Tomelilla Municipality, we work with full-time employment as the norm, which means that all new hires are full-time. We create the conditions to enable full-time work, leading to many colleagues and greater opportunities for professional development. The placement will primarily be at Brinkehem, but resource shifts at other units within elderly care in Tomelilla Municipality may occur.
Brinkehem is a special accommodation located in Brösarp. Brinkehem consists of three departments with a total of 22 apartments. The Ljungen department is the largest and has a general focus with a total of ten apartments, two of which are adapted for couples. The Heden department consists of seven single-room apartments, and the Ängslyckan department consists of five apartments intended for people with dementia diagnoses.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
When you work as a care assistant with us, you are part of people's daily lives and work to support them so they can live as independently as possible. Your work is characterized by great variety. Your tasks include providing practical support with personal care. You also administer medication delegated by a registered nurse. The work also involves enhancing the clients' quality of life. We are proactive and constantly work towards quality and digitalization.
Your tasks include providing practical support in personal care and hygiene, household work, or support in social contexts, such as:
- Showering, personal hygiene, and shaving
- Toilet visits
- Getting up and going to bed, as well as dressing and undressing
- Cleaning, laundry, cooking, and shopping
- Accompanying to, for example, the health center or outdoor activities such as walks

QUALIFICATIONS
To thrive in this role, it is important that you have a genuine interest in care and nursing work. You have the ability to see the individual's needs for both care and support aimed at independence. It is also important that you are flexible and have a good attitude in your work. The job requires you to take initiative and have good collaboration skills. It is expected that you, as an employee, are engaged and proactive in the continuous improvement work for increased quality at both the individual and organizational levels.
For employment, you must have training as a care assistant, and a requirement for employment is that you pass the medication test, both written and oral, as well as the practical part for medication delegation in Tomelilla Municipality.
You need to master the Swedish language in a way that allows you to communicate with clients, relatives, and colleagues in both speech and writing.
We consider it an advantage if you have previous experience in care and nursing work.
To work in care and nursing, we require a police record extract.
