The Medicine Department is a general medicine department consisting of 19 inpatient beds and a day care service that manages a subacute flow of patients who receive treatment during the day and can then go home. The Medicine Department is part of the acute and medicine business area (VO) and has about 270 employees. Within our VO, we conduct activities in cardiology, endocrinology, pulmonary medicine, rheumatology, gastroenterology, and neurology. At the Medicine Department, we do not only treat a specific diagnosis but consider the whole individual.

We are in an exciting phase where we are working to implement Region Skåne's Competence and Service Model. The model provides you with a clear structure for your learning and career opportunities within our organization. If you are interested in the transition to close care, we are currently involved in a project to start hospital care at home. We see ourselves as a learning organization and conduct, among other things, clinical education rooms (Kus) with a clinical teacher attached to the department. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse with us, you will work with care and treatment of both acute and chronic internal medicine diseases. In a cross-professional team, you will work together with doctors, nursing assistants, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists with a shared responsibility for the patients in your team. Close to the team, there are also social workers, pharmacists, and a coordinator for My Plans for a holistic perspective.

At the Medicine Department, we offer you a stimulating and varied job where you gain broad competence within the entire internal medicine field, with opportunities for personal development and education. Newly graduated nurses are also offered a clinical foundation year that includes lectures and clinical skills training.

We care about you entering your work in a safe way, and therefore you are welcomed with a well-developed introduction program that runs for six weeks. For newly graduated nurses, we offer a longer introduction. During the first four weeks, you will work together with an experienced colleague. This is followed by a period where you work with another newly graduated nurse in a so-called pair introduction. During this time, you and your colleague share a team and work together. Our vision is to start a mentorship group where you will receive a personal mentor. We offer continuous professional development for all staff, both with internal and external training. If personally interested, there is also the opportunity to study to become a specialist nurse in internal medicine.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who feels responsible and has a great commitment to their work! You are curious, interested, and maintain a high professional standard in your work. As a person, you are also open to sharing your knowledge.

We highly value the work environment in the department and therefore see that you enjoy collaborating with different professional categories. Through your engagement and positive attitude, you create a good work climate together with your colleagues, where we all help each other to achieve the best care quality for our patients. We place great importance on personal suitability.

Furthermore, you are a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. You have language skills in Swedish that at least correspond to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale. If you have previous experience working in internal medicine, it is considered an asset. Likewise, if you have previous experience with the care systems Melior and My Plans.
