Make a Difference. Every Day.
Are you a nurse curious about emergency care? Do you want to be part of a competent and interdisciplinary team that together creates the conditions for the best person-centered care? Then this is the perfect position for you. We are now welcoming a new colleague!
The Orthopedic Department is an emergency care unit that admits patients around the clock. Here, we provide pre- and post-operative care for patients with orthopedic diagnoses. A certain number of elective patients undergoing hip, knee, shoulder, and foot surgeries are also cared for in the department. We have a good atmosphere on our unit, and there is a flow of interest for new ideas and continuous improvements. We highly value patient safety, and our employees are deeply involved in this work.
We value working interdisciplinary to utilize knowledge in the best way. Your and your colleagues' expertise is shared during our team rounds where we discuss the patients and diagnoses we have in the department. We encourage all ways that utilize your skills and ideas. We strive to be an attractive workplace where our values guide us. No two days are alike in our orthopedic care unit. Here, we have a strong forward momentum and joy in developing care with a focus on patient participation and safety.
We are currently implementing person-centered care, a project we are conducting together with Professor Anna Forsberg.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a nurse with us, you will gain broad expertise in the field of orthopedics as well as in other areas since some of our patients are multi-sick.

For newly graduated nurses, there is a clinical foundation year that includes lectures, clinical skills training, and access to a mentor. We also offer a clinical specialization course in orthopedics for a term for more experienced nurses, as well as the opportunity to study orthopedics for 15 university credits.
We work with a ten-week schedule where you work two weekends out of five. In 2025, we will prioritize change work, patient safety, and business development together with our employees. We have allocated time in the schedule for this work, meaning that one shift every tenth week occurs outside the workplace with a focus on development.
