At the Adult Psychiatry Clinic Drottninggatan, we assess and treat individuals with psychotic disorders. We work according to the Flexible Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) method, which means we operate with high flexibility and availability, with many visits occurring outside the clinic. The foundation of our approach is a recovery-oriented perspective. The team works integratively and consists of employees from both Region Skåne and Malmö City. The clinic, which consists of four teams, employs about 60 people, including nurses, housing pedagogues, work specialists, doctors, peer support, psychiatric nursing assistants, psychologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, medical secretaries, and unit managers. Here, everyone takes responsibility, supports each other, and helps out in a warm climate. The workplace is characterized by a strong commitment to our patients and a shared responsibility for our work environment and social atmosphere.

The clinic is just a stone's throw from Värnhemstorget, which makes it easier if you commute by regional bus or train.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We welcome an occupational therapist to join us at the Adult Psychiatry Clinic for Psychosis Drottninggatan in Malmö!

As an occupational therapist, you will have a variety of tasks. You will work independently and in groups with patients. Your independent tasks include helping patients recognize their abilities and providing opportunities to practice these in daily life. This can take place at the clinic or in the patient's local environment. You will also conduct activity and functional assessments as needed and assess the need for assistive devices. Together with your occupational therapy colleagues, you will conduct group therapy, which may involve leading activity ability groups. As an occupational therapist, there is also the opportunity to lead courses such as Everyday in Balance, Sensory Awareness, and Keep Track, as well as art therapy.

You will also be the primary care contact/coordinator for a number of the team's patients, meaning you will be the patient's closest contact at the clinic. Together with the patient and other team members, you will shape the patient's care. You are responsible for scheduling your patients, which gives you great freedom to plan your workday and visit frequency.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are now looking for a licensed occupational therapist with the authority to practice within the Swedish healthcare system. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are required. It is advantageous if you have experience working in specialist psychiatry and if you have previously worked with group therapy.
