To meet the residents' need for more accessible care, Region Skåne has decided to start a new form of care in Skåne, and since January 1, 2025, the emergency department in Ängelholm will be part of the Management for Close Care and Health, which is under development. Ängelholm Hospital has a medical emergency department that includes close collaboration with the Evening and Weekend Clinic as well as local healthcare departments with different specializations. The emergency department is open from 08:00 to 20:00 every day. Those of us working in the Emergency Department have chosen to work here because it is an exciting and dynamic workplace! We are a group with good cohesion, and our internal values work is close to our hearts. In the national patient survey that is conducted regularly to assess patients' experiences, our emergency department has received very positive feedback, with 97 percent of our patients feeling well cared for and safe during their stay. Something we are, of course, happy and proud of.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse in the emergency department, your responsibilities will include the care and treatment of acutely ill patients as well as coordinating care placements in the hospital. Once you feel more secure in your role as a new employee, you will be introduced to work in the emergency room and in our triage at the reception, where the first assessment of patients is made.

Here in the emergency department, we work in teams with nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, and medical secretaries. We collaborate with the evening and weekend clinic, which is located in the emergency department's premises. You will join a unit where there is a high ceiling and a workgroup that enjoys and supports each other. Good collaboration within the staff group and a good approach towards patients and relatives are important parts of our operations. For us, the foundation of a well-functioning operation is a good working environment where employees thrive and feel good. In this work, everyone has a responsibility, but we also have active leadership with direct communication. This work is driven by management and employees together.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for an engaged and responsible employee. It is important to us that you want to work here! Since we are an operation with various contact points and sub-departments, you need to be flexible in meeting a varied workload. We want you to share our values regarding a patient-focused approach, a joy in the profession of nursing, and an attraction to internal medicine and our type of smaller emergency department. You will come to an exciting and developing operation, and therefore we hope you have good collaboration skills and are curious and eager to learn new things.

Regarding formal requirements, we are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. You also need to have language skills in Swedish that correspond to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale. We have a close collaboration with primary care, and therefore it is an advantage if you have knowledge of both Melior and PMO. If you have previously worked in an emergency department, this is meritorious.
