Within Bup inpatient care, we meet children and young people who need acute psychiatric care. We are open around the clock and receive patients from all over Skåne in cases of acute risk of suicide, life-threatening eating disorders, acute symptoms of mania, delusions, or psychosis. Your contribution makes a significant difference. Much is about listening and being present; here you will use all your skills in meeting each young person and quickly build an alliance to meet the child where they are.

Bup inpatient care in Malmö operates regionally with the target group being children and young people up to 18 years old. Specialized inpatient care is provided in three departments and one clinic, all of which are open 24/7. We who work here are nurses, caregivers, family therapists, doctors, psychologists, social workers, coordinators, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, secretaries, and unit managers. Your introduction starts together with the team coordinator to get to know the organization, colleagues, and guidelines.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We now welcome hourly substitutes to Bup inpatient care, who will replace our regular staff during their absence. The operation is staffed around the clock, and we may need substitutes for days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

In the role of nurse on the ward, you have a leading function regarding psychiatric and somatic care. You will perform standard nursing tasks such as sampling, medication management, and record-keeping. Furthermore, you will participate in rounds and have psychoeducational conversations with the youth and their relatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with the authority to work within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are required. If you have specialized training in psychiatry, we consider it an asset for the position, as well as CBT level 1. We also prefer that you have experience with the documentation program Melior.

We seek someone who is empathetic with a professional approach, has good collaboration skills, and can see the whole picture around an individual. Additionally, you are development-oriented, engaged, and good at building positive relationships - these are your strengths. You should have experience and interest in working both independently and as part of a team. We are keen to find the right person for the task and therefore place great importance on personal suitability.
