The Hospital in Ystad is an acute hospital with a wide range of specialized care and a family-like atmosphere. We offer healthcare with quality, accessibility, a holistic view, and compassion. The Intensive Care and Postoperative Department in Ystad currently has intensive care beds, intermediate care, and postoperative care beds staffed around the clock, where both children and adults are cared for. The recovery department also has ten monitoring places from Monday to Friday, where both children and adults are cared for. The intensive care unit is a smaller unit focused on general intensive care and offers treatment in a high-tech environment. We perform surgeries in general surgery, gynecology, urology, orthopedics, and ear, nose, and throat surgeries. As a nurse, you participate in the hospital's alarm chain and are part of the Mobile Intensive Care Group (MIG).

In the Intensive Care and Postoperative Department in Ystad, we work interdisciplinary together with nursing assistants, doctors, social workers, and physiotherapists. In your role as a nurse, you are responsible for advanced nursing of patients with impending or manifest failure in vital functions due to severe medical conditions, accidents, or advanced postoperative care. With us, we offer you a varied and interesting job with opportunities for development. In our department, you will receive an introduction tailored to your experiences and competencies so that you can integrate into the operations in the best way. Every week we also have competence-enhancing lectures in the unit. We use working hours with a quota model, where you have the opportunity to influence your schedule and time for recovery.
QUALIFICATIONS
We welcome you who are a licensed nurse with the authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. You also have knowledge of Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale. Furthermore, you have at least one year of work experience as a nurse in acute care and good computer skills. If you have a specialist education in intensive care, this is an advantage. We see it as beneficial if you have experience in intensive care and/or postoperative care. It is also important that you find working with medical technology equipment interesting.
As a person, you have a positive attitude and are both flexible and outgoing. You have an empathetic ability and are attentive, which is crucial for effective collaboration with different colleagues. We work according to the principle of freedom under responsibility, so personal maturity and a good ability to handle stressful situations are required. This position suits you who can quickly adapt to changing conditions and can work independently with a high sense of responsibility.
