The Department of Pulmonary and Allergy Diseases at Skåne University Hospital (Sus) is one of the largest operations in the country within pulmonary medicine, with excellent opportunities for specialist training and research. Currently, we have 40 permanently employed doctors in the department.

What distinguishes us is that we work and develop in all areas of the pulmonary specialty. We deal with ventilation, emergency care, investigation and treatment of lung cancer, obstructive and interstitial lung diseases, and are part of the Cystic Fibrosis Center South. We are also one of two institutions in the country that performs lung transplants. Our unit for endobronchial intervention is the largest in the country and performs nearly 2,000 procedures per year.

In addition to receiving broad clinical training and providing care to citizens, we are happy to make you a researcher.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a resident physician, your responsibilities include assessment, investigation, treatment, and follow-up of patients with all forms of lung disease. Together, we will create an educational plan that includes side training in relevant specialties. The position includes on-call work in emergency care as usual. Your educational plan will be developed in consultation with the program director and supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed physician with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale is required for the position. Previous specialization in internal medicine is an advantage. You should have a natural team spirit and the ability to collaborate within our care teams.
