The area of operation (VO) emergency and medicine at Ystad Hospital is distinguished by a broad competence, with a strong focus on development issues and close collaboration between different professional groups.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a senior physician/specialist physician for our cardiology department/clinic at Ystad Hospital.

The position includes cardiology outpatient work, ward work, and on-call duties. You are expected to be able to perform and assess echocardiograms, Holter monitors, and exercise ECGs, as well as have broad general cardiological knowledge.

As a senior physician/specialist physician, you are expected to contribute to the development of evidence-based cardiac care and be prepared to supervise students and colleagues. You are also expected to take responsibility for operational development and lead continuous improvement efforts.

Your duties include mentoring ST and AT colleagues and serving as a consulting function. With us, you work integrated in a team together with the patient and other professional categories to provide the best possible care.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed specialist physician in cardiology with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Additionally, you have language skills in Swedish that correspond to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale. We consider it an advantage if you also have specialist competence in internal medicine.

As a person, you have a professional demeanor and work solution-focused. We see that you have good communicative and empathetic abilities, as a good approach towards patients and colleagues is important to us. Many of our patients are medically complex, thus interest and ability to work in a team are important. Of course, you work according to Region Skåne’s values. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
