The adult psychiatry area in Helsingborg has clinics and teams located in Helsingborg, Landskrona, and Ängelholm. All inpatient care is provided in Helsingborg. We provide specialist psychiatric care and treatment for patients with severe mental health issues. The catchment area consists of ten municipalities in northwestern Skåne, with which we have a good collaboration through joint meetings and care planning.

Department 56 is a general psychiatric emergency care unit for inpatient care and an educational and development department aimed at patients over 18 years old. With us, patients with conditions and diseases from the entire psychiatric diagnostic spectrum are treated. We also have a special assignment for specialized eating disorder care.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now welcoming a new nursing colleague to our department!

In your role with us, you will work as a nursing responsible in a team together with caregivers/nursing assistants, where you will also be responsible for care planning for your patients. You will have close collaboration with patients and relatives, as the work is done closely with patients with various nursing tasks based on their needs. Your responsibilities include documentation, ward rounds, medication management, and supervision of students based on a peer-learning method. You work for high patient safety through collaboration with both colleagues and patients. Since Helsingborg operates as a university hospital, there are also good opportunities to conduct your own research. The organization has its own research network that meets regularly.

To help you settle into the role as smoothly as possible, we offer an introduction tailored to your skills and experiences. We also value professional development and therefore offer continuous training, both internally and externally.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying are a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare and have language skills in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale. It is strongly meritorious if you have a specialist education in psychiatry. Previous experience in adult psychiatry is also an advantage.

As a person, you are empathetic, attentive, and responsible, with a very good approach towards both patients and colleagues. With a high level of readiness for action and a structured way of working, you have the ability to make independent decisions when necessary. At the same time, you are a team player who enjoys working in a team and is happy to share your knowledge and experiences. Through your commitment and constructive attitude, you contribute to our good work environment. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
