Here we offer you a good working environment with varied and stimulating tasks. In the recovery department, nurses are responsible for the patient's pre- and post-operative care. Since we only have planned surgery, you will not work weekends, nights, or public holidays.

The surgical unit in Landskrona conducts elective surgery in five operating rooms. Our opening hours in the recovery unit are Monday to Thursday from 07:00 to 21:00 and Friday from 07:00 to 17:00. Patients with various diagnoses come here, including areas such as hernia surgery, urology, pelvic floor, neurosurgery, vascular, and gynecology. The patient clientele varies depending on the surgical needs in the region. Both outpatient and inpatient patients are cared for here, with a catchment area from all over southern Sweden.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are now facing the retirement of two of our nurses. Therefore, we welcome two new colleagues to our wonderful team in the recovery department in Landskrona.

We are responsible for the patient both pre- and post-operatively. In the pre-operative section, the patient is prepared with premedication and conversations with nurses and doctors. In the recovery section, patients are cared for after their surgery. Here, the staff follows the patient's pace and is attentive to their needs.

The main tasks are to ensure that the patient has a pleasant awakening after their surgery. We monitor vital parameters and treat pain and nausea, among other things. Together with anesthesiologists, we also perform elective electrical conversions. Working with us means caring for and performing tasks after many different surgical procedures, which makes your work varied and stimulating.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with the authority to work within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are required. Previous experience in recovery work and understanding how we manage our patient flow in the best way is an advantage for the position. Likewise, experience in surgical and/or urological activities is beneficial. Knowledge of Orbit 5 and Melior is also advantageous.

As a person, you are engaged and have an easy time collaborating with others. You enjoy working independently as well as in a team. Furthermore, you are focused and thrive in changing tempos and can prioritize. You also show care for patients but are also a good colleague.
