The operations department is a well-equipped unit with seven operating rooms and two treatment rooms for planned surgical activities, including postoperative care and a sterile unit. Most surgeries are performed on an outpatient basis, but some of our patients are in inpatient care. Our areas of expertise are orthopedics and ear, nose, and throat care. We perform joint replacements, knee, shoulder, foot surgeries, as well as ear, nose, and throat surgeries on both children and adults. The operations unit is in a development phase where we are investing further in good workflows, teamwork, and quick decision-making processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In your role as an operating room nurse with us, you will plan and organize the day's surgeries for your operating room. You will instrument and participate in pre- and post-operative work. For us, it is important that the patient's needs are in focus and that you, as part of the team with the operator, operating room assistant, and anesthesia staff, communicate and work towards the same goal.

When you start with us, you will be offered an individually tailored introduction program based on your previous experiences. It is important to us that you, as an employee, have the opportunity to grow and develop with the organization. Working hours are scheduled Monday to Friday, with some evening shifts.

We care deeply about our patients and continuously work with the patient's needs in focus. Our unit is characterized by high patient flows, which require planning, foresight, and the ability to quickly adapt to new conditions.

The ability to provide good patient interaction and collaborate with other staff categories within the unit and external actors is of great importance.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed nurse with the authority to practice in Swedish healthcare and have specialist training in surgery. Language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale are required.

You who apply are curious and interested in orthopedics and ear, nose, and throat surgeries. The ability to provide good patient interaction and collaborate with other staff categories within the unit and external actors is of great importance. You are good at collaborating and see the team as an essential part of the work. We also see that you have a positive attitude and contribute to an open, inclusive, and pleasant work environment. You are encouraged to be creative, structured, have the ability to think outside the box, and can communicate suggestions and new ideas. Personal suitability is highly valued.
