The Operation in Trelleborg is a well-equipped unit with seven operating rooms and two treatment rooms for planned surgical activities, including a postoperative area and sterile unit. Most surgeries are performed on an outpatient basis, but some of our patients are in inpatient care.

Our areas of expertise are orthopedics and ear, nose, and throat care. We perform joint replacements, knee, shoulder, foot surgeries, as well as ear, nose, and throat surgeries on both children and adults. The operation is in a development phase where we are further investing in high production through efficiency, good flows, excellent teamwork, and quick decision-making.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In your role as instrument manager, you are a person who can handle many dialogues simultaneously. You can communicate and plan with external and internal partners such as companies and other surgical units across the country. You should have an overview of the scheduled surgery program to see what may need to be supplemented based on our own inventory of implants and instruments. Furthermore, you will engage in dialogue with surgical planners to ensure the right instruments and implants are available on the right day and for the right patient. The role also involves long-term thinking but also the ability to rethink and solve urgent problems. The position also includes coordinating operations as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a trained nursing assistant with a focus on emergency care/healthcare according to the previous program structure or are a trained nursing assistant within the new program structure who has studied all specializations. We also welcome you who are a licensed nurse with permission to work within Swedish healthcare with further education in surgical nursing to apply. Furthermore, you have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form. We also see that you have good knowledge of the English language. A minimum of five years of work experience in surgery is required. Additionally, you have experience with the surgical planning program Orbit.

When it comes to you as a person, you are calm, attentive, and responsible with a desire and ability to help others. You also enjoy working in a team and have an interest in technical equipment within healthcare. Since we work in teams, it is important that you have good collaboration skills. We are keen to find the right person for the position and place great emphasis on personal suitability.

As of July 1, 2023, the title nursing assistant became a protected professional title. This means that you will need proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title nursing assistant within healthcare and social services. If you currently have a permanent position as a nursing assistant and are offered a new position, you can retain your title as a nursing assistant until June 30, 2033. In the event of an interview/employment, you must be able to present proof of the protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare or a certificate that you were permanently employed on July 1, 2023.
