About Us

Skytteholm School is a primary school for preschool class to grade 6.

The after-school program is open from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM. In our after-school program, we aim to stimulate students' development and learning while providing them with a meaningful leisure time. To succeed, we work based on students' needs, interests, and experiences while continuously challenging them and inspiring them to new discoveries.

What Does the Job Entail?

The role includes planning, implementing, following up, and developing varied and meaningful teaching in the after-school program. This is done together with other staff in our after-school program and in collaboration with the deputy principal. We work in age-integrated teams and collaborate in classes during the mornings. Through research-based and experiential teaching, you will help create developing and pedagogically aware learning environments and activities. You will primarily work with the middle school level.

The teams design and develop the operations to lay a good foundation for students' development. Staff working in after-school programs in Solna are part of a central network with network meetings. Here, you can participate in training, lectures, and joint discussions. Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for someone who

  • is a certified primary school teacher for after-school programs
  • has experience with children aged 6-12 years
  • is well-versed in all parts of the curriculum and other relevant governing documents
  • is familiar with digital tools that you use creatively in teaching as well as for your own planning, follow-up, and documentation
  • has a good command of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.

We are looking for someone who, with good pedagogical insight, can create situations where students thrive and can succeed. Your leadership is rooted in the belief that all students want to develop. Your teaching is based on science and proven experience that enables you to create good learning environments.

As a person, you are attentive to students' needs, clear, respectful, and have the ability to collaborate and build relationships with both our students and parents and colleagues. You take initiative and can easily adapt to changing circumstances. The position requires you to communicate clearly and to plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively.
