Wasaskolan is located next to large green areas with good opportunities for an active outdoor life in the subject of sports and health. Inside, you will find a well-maintained, equipped school with bright classrooms and plenty of natural light, as well as a brand new cafeteria. We have a nice school library with a trained librarian where students can sit and read or borrow books. Wasaskolan is a F-9 school with approximately 520 students. We also have adapted primary school, which provides good integration opportunities. With us, you will meet a large student health team, good administration, and maintenance, all to ensure that you as a teacher have the best support in your teaching. Together, we who work at the school form a strength of about 80 staff.

A day at work

You are responsible for and conduct teaching in sports and health for grades 1-9 in a co-teaching model together with another qualified physical education teacher. You conduct teaching in an inspiring, exciting, developing, and inclusive way with a focus on students' development and learning. The position also includes other usual teacher tasks such as collegial collaboration, assessment, conferences, and contact with guardians. You focus on the quality of teaching through recurring reflection and analysis of pedagogical leadership as well as goal and result management. You are part of the 4-6 work team where you support and help each other in the social work around students and plan for the highest possible goal fulfillment.

Who are you?

Requirements:
- Degree with teaching certification, specialization in sports and health with authorization to teach in primary school.
- You are well acquainted with the school as an organization and are familiar with assignments and governing documents.
- You have good knowledge of the Swedish language and can confidently conduct teaching.

Meritorious:
- Experience teaching the subject of sports and health at the middle or high school level.
- Experience and knowledge in using digital tools.
- Experience working in a multicultural area.
- Interested in outdoor life and health.

Personal qualities:
- You possess good organizational skills and enjoy working solution-focused.
- You see opportunities for your own development in your leadership and subject.
- You create good relationships with both colleagues and students and guardians.
- You can meet students at their level and create interest in the subject.
- You are a good role model in the subject of sports and health.
- You are comfortable communicating with students, guardians, and colleagues in a way that takes responsibility for the message and ensures that the recipient understands what you mean.
- You are a secure adult who has the ability to support all students in their development towards competencies and have good competence to meet all children based on their conditions and needs.
- You are structured and capable of planning, organizing, and executing schedule-breaking sports days that involve the whole school.
