Development Secretary for the Department of Special Housing

Are you a person who has both a strategic mindset and enjoys working operationally? Are you passionate about development and want to use your current skills while learning new things?

We are now looking for two individuals for an exciting assignment in the Department of Special Housing. You will be an important member of a new team that will focus on developing Malmö's special housing in local and digitalization issues. Together with two colleagues, you will embark on a development journey where you will help shape effective working methods for the employees in the administration, contributing to good care and support for the elderly in the facilities.

Job Responsibilities

In the role of Development Secretary in the Department of Special Housing, you will work on driving both strategic and operational issues primarily related to premises, digitalization, and welfare technology. You will collaborate with a wide variety of functions aimed at developing and future-proofing the operations.

You will work with quality and operational development based on the needs of the department and the administration. The work includes planning, investigating, and following up on the joint work, thereby supporting the core operations in the development work. The assignments can vary in size and complexity, requiring you to work flexibly and with a humble approach.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A university degree of at least 180 credits, which the employer deems relevant.
  • Experience working with complex IT tools and systems.
  • Experience and/or education in digitalization or premises issues.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish is required in both spoken and written form.

It is advantageous if you have:

  • Experience working in healthcare and social services.
  • Experience and/or education in project management or change management.

As a person, you are secure and stable, have self-awareness, and maintain a professional demeanor. You are outgoing and socially active in professional contexts and have the ability to create contacts and maintain the relationships you need in your work.

Your communication is clear, and you ensure that your message gets through and that expectations are clear for all parties involved. You follow up and remind when necessary.

The work therefore requires a good understanding of how people absorb knowledge and the different conditions of individuals. You do not get stuck in jargon but have a good ability to listen and be receptive to the recipient and adapt to the situation.

You take responsibility for your task, structure your approach, and drive your processes forward, completing them within given timeframes.

Our department is responsible for special housing and the municipal shared short-term operations. The department has approximately 2000 employees and is organized into nine units. We welcome engagement, drive, and new ideas to continue developing our working methods and thus create an attractive organization. You will belong to the staff in the department where we sit in offices in the center of Malmö at Storgatan 20, right next to the pedestrian street and close to everything the city has to offer.

The staff consists of 17 engaged employees driven by development and improvement. In addition to development secretaries, the staff includes quality developers, socially responsible coordinators, overarching super users, project managers, and cultural secretaries.

The common task of the staff is to support, develop, follow up, and ensure the quality of the operations based on our various functions and roles, always with the Malmö resident in focus. We have a good sense of community and a positive social climate where we help each other develop.
