to apply for the job
Make a difference. Every day.
We now have the opportunity to expand our team and are looking for you who want to work as a controller at Skåne University Hospital! Here you will have the chance to work with high-quality financial work where you will collaborate broadly with both clinical and research activities.
The unit for operational finance is seeking a controller with a focus on operational support. The unit is part of the Department of Finance, and our primary focus is to provide professional operational financial support to the hospital's managers. We support the operations in terms of follow-up, budgeting, and analysis with a focus on financial and operational management. Together with others in the Department of Finance, we work to fulfill Skåne University Hospital's (Sus) vision of the best possible health at all stages of life.
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are now looking for a controller to expand our team. Is this the position for you?
As a controller with an operational focus, you will report to the unit manager for the operational finance unit. Your placement is within the operational area where you will work closely with the operational manager, HR partner, and business developer. You have both an operational and strategic function and are expected to be an active member of the operational area's management team. The work is carried out in close collaboration with all the managers in the operational area, such as area managers, section managers, and unit managers. You will work on-site in the operational area.
In your work, you will use data not only from accounting and financial reporting but also from other sources such as personnel systems, production systems, and data collected separately. Analyzing this data requires good knowledge of data systems and strong analytical skills. The role includes writing reports, leading projects, and presenting financial information. The focus of the work is on the operation's finances, follow-up, budgeting, and analysis with a focus on financial and operational management. In this work, you will support the operation's managers, including the operational manager, section managers, area managers, and unit managers. In addition to the direct work with the operational area, you are expected to be involved and engaged in the Department of Finance's efforts to improve operational support for Sus managers. There is also the opportunity to participate in hospital-wide projects and be involved in various development areas related to financial, staffing, and production management.
The physical location is within the operational area with workplaces in both Lund and Malmö.
QUALIFICATIONS
We welcome applicants who have a university degree in finance. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form, as well as good knowledge of various data systems. To succeed in this role, we see that you have experience in qualified financial management work in a larger organization, preferably also in a politically governed organization. Furthermore, it is advantageous if you have previously worked in or closely with a management team. Experience with the systems Raindance and QlikView is also a plus.
You who apply for the position are responsible and deliver results within the set time. Strong analytical skills are essential. Furthermore, you are willing to take your own initiatives, seek information, and help the operational area make decisions. It is also important that you have a good ability to work independently and with your own drive participate in structuring, planning, and executing tasks. Since you will have many different contacts in your work, it helps if you enjoy networking and thrive in an outgoing role. We also value pedagogical skills as the work is done in close collaboration with individuals without a background in finance.
Interviews will take place on April 4th, 7th, and 9th.
In this recruitment, we use ongoing selection. We warmly welcome your application today!
