We are looking for a dedicated and experienced teacher for a special education group in the middle school. A broad teaching qualification for middle school is preferred. Backaskolan is an independent F–9 school with about 270 students and is run as a non-profit association where parents and educators together shape the school's development.

With our Reggio Emilia-inspired profile, we actively work with participation, democracy, and aesthetic expressions. We strive to create a coherent thread in students' knowledge development across subjects and provide them with an inclusive and meaningful school experience.

Your responsibilities

✅ Create and structure teaching for students with varying needs.

✅ Collaborate closely with special educators to ensure an inclusive learning environment.

✅ Adapt teaching and develop individual learning plans for students with significant needs.

✅ Initiate and develop a new program at the school for elementary students with special educational needs.

We are looking for someone who:

🔹 Is a licensed teacher (broad qualification for middle school is an advantage).

🔹 Has experience in adapting teaching for students with significant needs.

🔹 Is patient, flexible, and has a good ability to work with different age groups.

🔹 Has strong collaboration skills and communicates well with colleagues and guardians.

🔹 Has good knowledge of special education and various methods for individualized learning.

🔹 Experience in adapted primary school is an advantage.

The position is a permanent position.
