The IT management is the central, shared organization of Region Gävleborg for delivering IT and digital services. The mission is to create, procure, and maintain IT systems and digital solutions for all operations of Region Gävleborg and to support digital transformation. The IT management currently encompasses the following areas: Infrastructure, Business Development, Systems, and IT staff. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Region Gävleborg is looking for an engaged and knowledgeable data steward responsible for ensuring that our primary data, also known as master data, is accurate, consistent, and accessible across the organization. You will play a key role in our data management by developing and maintaining policies, performing quality checks, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure high data quality and integrity.

As a data steward with us, you will:

• develop and maintain master data policies
• perform data quality checks
• integrate and streamline master data governance structures together with data governance responsible.

With us, you will have a central role in developing, implementing, and maintaining policies and procedures for managing master data. You will perform regular quality checks and validations of master data to ensure it is accurate, complete, and consistent. Furthermore, you will collaborate with data governance responsible and other relevant roles to integrate and streamline master data governance structures. As well as coordinate work between different departments to ensure that data is used effectively and uniformly. Additionally, you will work to raise awareness of the importance of data management and governance among staff and support the organization with expertise in data governance.

For the role of data steward, the following is required:

• experience working with IT systems and data structuring
• solid knowledge of laws and regulations regarding data management, e.g., GDPR and the principle of public access
• experience leading projects and collaborating cross-functionally
• good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.

Experience with health data or other sensitive data is meritorious. We consider it highly meritorious if you have experience working in the public sector. We place great importance on your personal qualities.
