About the job
The Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket) has high ambitions to contribute to the digital transformation taking place in Sweden. The IT department is one of Sweden's largest, with approximately 1,700 employees responsible for the development, operation, and management of the agency's IT landscape.
Within the IT department, we develop digital infrastructure for other authorities and for all of Sweden, collaborating closely with other agencies. We work on AI solutions for faster and more efficient information handling, solutions for managing VAT and employer contributions, as well as data warehouses for sharper analyses and better governance.
We work agilely using the SAFe framework, and you will be part of influencing this change journey. You will work in a team where you are jointly responsible for both development and maintenance. You will have the opportunity for varied tasks in development environments encompassing several generations of technology, platforms, and tools.
The Swedish Tax Agency is transitioning to a new technical platform based on OCP. As a Java Developer, there is an opportunity to develop within container technology. About you
To do a good job and thrive at the Swedish Tax Agency, you need to be receptive, think innovatively, and take responsibility. In your work, good judgment and an understanding of legal certainty and security are important. You must also adhere to our employee policy.
In this role, you will:
- be results-oriented and consider both the team's and your own performance
- act consciously and professionally based on good self-awareness
- have the ability and willingness to learn new things, be flexible, and adapt to changes
- have good teamwork skills, be helpful, and have a positive attitude
- have good communication skills in Swedish, both verbal and written
- be able to analyze information flows, see connections, patterns, and make boundaries.
You must also have:
- a university education of at least 180 higher education credits (120 points) in the IT field, or alternatively, several years of current and relevant work experience that the employer deems relevant
- several years of current and relevant work experience in Java programming
- current and relevant work experience with Generative AI.
Furthermore, it is desirable that you have current and relevant work experience with agile working methods, as well as experience with Git, Spring Boot, OCP, Vue, React, integrations, and working with architecturally complex systems.
Good to know
The employment is permanent and may begin with a six-month probationary period.
An employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security investigation with register check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment is made. For some of our security-class tasks, Swedish citizenship is required.
