The Business Area (VO) for Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine provides care for children and young people at the hospitals in Helsingborg, Landskrona, and Ängelholm. In Helsingborg, in addition to outpatient clinics, there is also a paediatric and adolescent emergency department, a neonatal unit, and a day-care unit. Outpatient clinics are operated in Ängelholm and Landskrona. In total, we are approximately 300 employees who together offer care for children and young people from premature infants to young adults, ranging from health care to highly specialized medical care.

The Paediatric and Adolescent Medicine clinic in Ängelholm is a specialist clinic for patients between 0 and 18 years old. Here, children and young people are examined and treated for conditions such as asthma, allergic diseases, abdominal pain, growth problems, headaches, and obesity. Doctors, pediatric nurses, assistant nurses, medical secretaries, dietitians, and psychologists work in close collaboration at the clinic. We also have ST-doctors (specialist trainees) and access to physiotherapists through the business area.

We are a well-functioning unit with a good work climate where collaboration, engagement, and patient focus permeate our work. Among us, there is a broad age and experience distribution, which contributes to a pleasant and developing work environment where we learn from each other.

The clinic in Ängelholm consists of three medical secretaries. Our work group has a flow through the Pediatric Emergency, Pediatric Ward, Neonatal Unit, Day Care, and Children's Clinic. We work together to ensure that patients are the focus throughout the entire care process. The broad collaboration between the units makes the work both varied, educational, and developing.

DUTIES

We now welcome you who are a medical secretary and want to become one of us at the VO for Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine! The position is located at the outpatient clinic in Ängelholm.

As a medical secretary with us, you, together with your colleagues, are responsible for the administrative part of the business. The work is varied and includes, among other things, medical record writing, handling referrals, diagnosis registration, reception work, time booking, as well as mail and telephone handling. You work independently within your area of responsibility while contributing your administrative skills to the team's joint work. The role involves close collaboration with different professional groups and also offers good opportunities for experience exchange within the entire business area.

Within the VO for Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, we are approximately 25 medical secretaries who work with common working methods, management, and targeted documentation to create high patient safety, quality, and close collaboration between our units.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have education in health and social care administration (80 higher education credits or 400 vocational education credits), or equivalent education as a medical secretary. For the position, you must also have good knowledge of both medical terminology and Swedish, both in speech and writing. You also have good computer skills, and we see it as meritorious if you have knowledge of Melior, MedSpeech, and/or Pasis. Furthermore, it is meritorious if you have experience from paediatric and adolescent activities.

As a person, you are driven and see possibilities and solutions, both in daily work and in the long term. In addition, you are flexible and have the ability to prioritize among your tasks.
