The Procurement Unit at FMLOG

The Swedish Armed Forces Procurement Unit is located at the unit FMLOG (Swedish Armed Forces Logistics). The work we perform is crucial for the Swedish Armed Forces' supply as well as strategic and operational success. The Management Support Department supports the Procurement Unit, and we are now looking for an Assistant Security Officer who can contribute their competence and experience to a dynamic and growing organization.

Main responsibilities

The security function is responsible for coordinating and supporting the Procurement Unit's management and departments with expertise in security protection and military security services.

  • The work is characterized by foresight, support to managers and employees, and follow-up within the framework of current laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate and support security protection planning and be responsible for follow-up work.
  • Support and conduct internal controls of security protection.
  • Train the unit in security matters.
  • Collaborate with Swedish Armed Forces units as well as other actors and authorities in security protection matters.
  • Conduct security reporting and reporting on protected and security-threatening activities.
  • Conduct security clearance interviews.

The position involves travel outside the place of duty.

Qualifications

  • An academic degree assessed as relevant by the employer and/or completed Security Officer Course (SOK) at FM UndSäkC.
  • Current and relevant work experience within security services.
  • Training in security services assessed as relevant by the employer.
  • Experience in training others.
  • Experience in leading conversations of a sensitive or complex nature.
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
  • Good knowledge of the Office package.

Personal qualities

To succeed in this role, you need to have pedagogical and social skills, as well as the ability to work independently, critically, and proactively. You can quickly adapt to new complex tasks, have a well-developed ability to collaborate, and possess a high level of security awareness. Furthermore, you are service-oriented and have high integrity. It is natural for you to follow the Swedish Armed Forces' value base.
