As a Security Coordinator, you contribute to protecting the agency's security-sensitive operations and ensuring that legislation and requirements within security protection are complied with. In this role, you work both strategically and operationally to develop, coordinate, and follow up on security protection efforts. Together with knowledgeable colleagues, you help strengthen the agency's resilience in a changing world where security issues are becoming increasingly central.

About the Job

As a Security Coordinator at the Financial Supervisory Authority (FI), you have overall responsibility for the agency's security and operational protection. You play a central role in managing, developing, and following up on security protection in accordance with current legislation and the agency's needs.

In this role, you are responsible for security protection analysis, security protection plans, position analysis, information security, and handling exposure of security-sensitive operations. You create, develop, and manage governing documents, guidelines, and procedures, ensuring they are known and followed within the organization.

The role also involves training managers and employees in security protection and contributing to increased knowledge and awareness within the agency. You lead and participate in the further development of FI's work related to security-sensitive operations, including security protection agreements, special security protection assessments, and suitability checks.

In the near future, special focus will be placed on the development and implementation of governing documents, training initiatives, and enhanced follow-up and control of security protection agreements.

The role involves close collaboration with the agency's other operational areas as well as some external cooperation with other agencies and relevant actors.

Your Education and Experience

We are looking for someone who has

• Relevant education in security protection, for example through the Swedish Police Authority, MSB, the Swedish Armed Forces, the Swedish Defence University, Företagsuniversitetet, or another corresponding educational provider.
• Experience working with security protection issues.
• Very good knowledge of the Security Protection Act (2018:585), the Security Protection Ordinance (2021:955), and the Swedish Police Authority's regulations on security protection (PMFS 2026:8:1), along with experience applying these regulations in practice.
• Experience in creating and managing internal governing documents, as well as presenting and having them approved.
• Experience participating in or being responsible for security protection analyses and security protection plans.
• Experience in setting requirements, control, and follow-up of security protection.
• A high school diploma.
• Excellent verbal and written skills in Swedish and English.

It is meritorious if you have

• Experience working at an agency or in other government administration.
• Experience in preparing agency cases.
• Experience with procurements subject to security protection requirements, including special security protection assessments.
• Knowledge of other relevant legislation, such as the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act (OSL) and the Crisis Preparedness Ordinance.
• Experience in information security work within security-sensitive operations.
• Education as a Security Protection Chief, for example through the Swedish Defence University, the Swedish Armed Forces, or another relevant actor.
