You step into an assignment where ecological expertise becomes an important basis for working on a new detailed development plan. This involves mapping nature values and species covered by species protection, assessing the impact of upcoming development, and providing clear recommendations that can be used in the planning process.

You work in a municipal urban planning environment where field surveys, analysis, and advice are closely linked. The area includes natural land with grassy areas, deciduous trees, shrubs, and stone slabs, as well as a nature-protected tree alley, which demands both careful documentation and a good understanding of biodiversity. Here you get to combine survey work with concrete impact on how nature values are considered, preserved, and handled in an ongoing detailed development plan.

This is an exciting opportunity for you who want to work closely with both field data and planning issues in an assignment where your assessments have clear significance.

• You conduct a preliminary nature value survey of the land according to the current SIS standard.
• You survey invasive species, protected and valuable trees, as well as species covered by the Species Protection Ordinance.
• You perform supplementary surveys as needed based on the results of the initial investigations.
• You describe the area in relation to the surrounding landscape, ecological sensitivity, and opportunities to preserve and enhance nature values.
• You assess how identified nature values and species-protected species are affected by the proposed detailed development plan.
• You provide advice on the design of the detailed development plan proposal, including the need for compensation measures and protective measures.
• You supplement investigations during the planning process and contribute to discussions on how impacts and consequences can be reduced.
• You produce written reports with photographic documentation and deliver map data according to geodata requirements, including georeferenced data in SHP format and, if necessary, also in DWG format.
• You publish relevant species findings in Artportalen and can, if necessary, contribute data in connection with appeals or statements to the court.

• You have experience from previous assignments involving nature value surveys.
• You have experience from similar assignments within both nature value surveys and surveys of species covered by the Species Protection Ordinance.
• You have good knowledge of survey work according to the current SIS standard and the reporting principles in Swedish Standard SS 199000:2023.
• You can produce clear written reports with relevant photographic documentation.
• You have experience handling map data and geodata, including the delivery of georeferenced data in SHP format.
• You can work both in the field and in dialogue with operations, as well as participate in meetings on-site and remotely.
• You can conduct surveys during the periods when it is suitable for the respective species.
