The Environmental and Health Protection Unit is now looking for an engaged and driven employee to work with environmental protection!
A normal workday with us involves many varied tasks. You will carry out inspections at businesses that may pose a potential health or environmental hazard. This may concern contaminated areas, vehicle operations, and permit-required operations such as larger waste sorting facilities or surface treatment plants. The tasks may vary during the year, and you will also handle incoming notifications, applications, and complaint cases, among other things. You will write decisions and have extensive contact with customers and businesses. In our activity-based office, creativity is encouraged, and you work closely with your colleagues in both inspections and improvement/change work. We also work actively against welfare crime, which must be considered in all inspections we perform.
We have many great benefits!
In addition to a workplace with happy, knowledgeable, and thoughtful colleagues, we also offer among other things:
- Remote work up to three days a week
- Flexible working hours, a so-called annual working time agreement
- Shorter working days on Fridays, when we finish at 15:00
- Wellness allowance or wellness hour
- Holiday exchange
- Further education in the form of attending courses
- Many discounts on e.g., grocery boxes, SL cards, e-bikes, cinema tickets, and more.

Are you our new employee?
The person we are looking for is receptive, dares to think new thoughts, and challenges our operational routines in a constructive way. You are to independently inspect various businesses to see if there are deficiencies that may negatively affect people's health or the environment. You make your assessments with support from the Environmental Code and other relevant laws and regulations. You collaborate with your colleagues by discussing deficiencies and possible solutions to these in various cases. You also have extensive contact with private individuals, authorities, and companies, which requires a genuine interest in building good social contacts as well as providing good service.
We also place great emphasis on your personal qualities and that you contribute to good social interaction.
We preferably see that you have experience as an environmental inspector that reflects a modern, and currently prevailing, professional practice.
To get the job, you must have the following qualifications:
- Education: You must have an education within the field of environmental and health protection inspector or similar (such as an environmental scientist) that is considered relevant for the profession and current knowledge in the area.
- Language skills: Ability to write and speak fluently in easy-to-understand and correct Swedish. The language should be easy to understand, and you should provide the recipient with accessible information that is legally secure and clear.
- Valid B-driver's license: You will drive a passenger car in the job.
How to apply for the job
We do not use cover letters, so do not attach one. Attach your CV without a photo when you apply. Your CV must be written in Swedish. In the process, candidates who move forward will be asked to perform tests designed to measure, among other things, the candidates' problem-solving skills.
