Description of Duties

As a Project Manager for Operations, you will play a key role in our continued development journey. You operate at the intersection of operations, digitalization, and people. Through collaboration, dialogue, and a clear focus on operational benefit, you contribute to turning ideas and needs into solutions that make a real difference.

You are responsible for leading and developing the administrative object "Street, Park, and Nature" according to the municipality's management control model pm3. The object includes digital support that contributes to developing and streamlining everything from the operation and maintenance of streets, parks, and nature areas to permit handling, parking, traffic planning, and passenger transport. You will also collaborate with and contribute to the development within our objects for building permits and planning operations.

In this role, you work closely with managers, operational specialists, system administrators, IT partners, and suppliers. Together, you identify needs, prioritize development efforts, and create conditions for digitalization to provide the greatest possible value for operations, our residents, and business life.

Your responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate operational objects according to the municipality's management model.
• Identify, analyze, and prioritize operational needs.
• Responsible for object planning, budget, and follow-up.
• Drive and coordinate development initiatives together with operations and IT.
• Ensure that systems and digital solutions create operational benefit.
• Follow up on goals, deliveries, risks, and quality work within the object.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• Have a relevant university education in fields such as systems science, informatics, urban planning, economics, or other education that the employer considers equivalent.
• Have experience leading or coordinating operational development, system administration, or digitalization work.
• Have a good understanding of the interplay between operations, processes, and IT.
• Are accustomed to leading meetings and coordinating multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
• Communicate fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience with pm3 or another management model.
• Experience from the public sector or the urban planning field.
• Knowledge of project management and change management.
• Experience with GIS, case management, or operational systems within the urban planning field.

Uppsala Municipality applies individual and differentiated salary setting according to the current collective agreement.
