Do you want to help develop tomorrow's plant protection?

How do we develop tomorrow's plant protection? At Nordisk Alkali, you will be part of answering that question. As a Development Manager, you will become a key figure in developing future plant protection solutions together with some of the world's leading development companies.

Are you passionate about development, field trials, and turning technical results into business opportunities? Do you want to work in an international environment where you can combine strategy, project management, and science with significant personal responsibility? Then this could be your next step.

What the role entails!

As a Development Manager, you are responsible for driving and developing Nordisk Alkali's development work. The role is broad and varied, involving both strategic and operational tasks. You plan trials, analyze results, lead development projects, and collaborate closely with colleagues, suppliers, and trial organizations across Europe.

As a local partner to several international development companies, Nordisk Alkali is responsible for the entire chain – from local development, trials, registration, market introduction, technical advice, to product responsibility. This means you will work closely with the entire product journey and see how development work translates into business and customer benefit.

Your most important tasks:

  • Drive and implement Nordisk Alkali's strategic development plans
  • Plan, order, follow up, and analyze field trials
  • Lead and coordinate development projects together with internal and external partners
  • Closely collaborate with Regulatory Managers, Strategic Marketing Manager, Sales Manager, and Crop Specialists
  • Build and develop long-term relationships with suppliers and trial organizations

Do you recognize yourself?

  • You are analytical and enjoy turning data and trial results into business decisions
  • You are strategic and see how development work contributes to the company's long-term goals
  • You work in a structured manner and handle multiple parallel projects with ease
  • You are self-motivated and take responsibility for driving your work forward
  • You are a skilled relationship builder who thrives with many contact points, both nationally and internationally
  • You communicate clearly and collaborate easily with different functions
  • You are curious, proactive, and motivated by developing both products and ways of working

What you bring with you:

  • An academic education in areas such as agronomy, agriculture, plant biology, biotechnology, or a similar field
  • At least a few years of work experience, eager to drive development work, biological trials, or product development within plant protection, agriculture, or a related field
  • Experience in project management and coordination is an advantage
  • Good command of English and Swedish, both spoken and written
  • Valid driver's license

Why Nordisk Alkali?

At Nordisk Alkali, you have the opportunity to work on issues that make a real difference for the future sustainable agriculture. You will become part of a specialist company in plant protection with 19 employees spread across seven countries in the Nordic region and the Baltics, with headquarters in Malmö. The organization is small and family-oriented with short decision-making paths, while you operate in an international environment with colleagues, suppliers, and partners across Europe.

Nordisk Alkali represents several international research and development companies in plant protection and is responsible for the entire chain – from local development and biological trials to registration, market introduction, technical advice, and product responsibility. This means you will follow the products all the way from development to market and work closely with both technical and commercial issues.

Here you will have great freedom under responsibility, the opportunity to influence the company's development, and work on long-term projects that contribute to future sustainable plant protection.
