Do you want to work at the center of events regarding Swedish and international defense and security policy? The Ministry of Defence is developing its operations based on the changed international situation and Sweden's membership in NATO. We are looking for you who want to contribute to Sweden's security through challenging tasks in a very varied work environment.

There are currently two unit assistants at the unit. The tasks include the unit's case management, such as government cases, parliamentary questions, committee directives, dispatch and archiving of cases, meeting bookings, mail handling, and other document management. In addition, this includes support for both the division chief and the unit chief, such as calendar and travel management, reception duties, and supporting the unit's employees with various administrative tasks. The work also involves developing and streamlining administrative routines and processes, as well as participating in processes such as the introduction of new employees to the unit.
The work is varied in terms of content and pace, and it requires close cooperation with other colleagues within the unit, the ministry, and the Government Offices.
The unit assistant is part of the ministry's administrative network and is expected to take an active part in the network's work. It also includes having secondary responsibility at other units or otherwise contributing to the whole, for example during vacation periods.

Your background
We are looking for you who have a secondary education and several years of experience in independent, qualified administrative work with corresponding tasks. You also have experience handling classified information.
Furthermore, we want you to have very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as well as good knowledge of IT, digital tools, document management systems, and the Office package. You also have knowledge of public access and secrecy.
If you also have post-secondary education, experience from similar work at a government agency, the Government Offices, or from another large organization, we consider it advantageous. It is also advantageous to have knowledge of archiving and registration, as well as experience working as an executive assistant.

The position is a permanent employment with an initial probationary period of 6 months.
Start date by agreement.
The position is classified and a security investigation with register check will be conducted before a decision on employment is made. You must be a Swedish citizen, but may have a foreign background.
