We are currently looking for an Interim Department Manager for an exciting assignment within a socially vital business focused on accessible and sustainable transport solutions.

You will lead a dedicated team of approximately 14 employees and be responsible for ensuring the business delivers high quality, good service, and a clear customer focus. The role involves hands-on leadership where you work closely with employees, partners, and other stakeholders.

As Department Manager, you will have broad responsibilities, including:

• Leading, coaching, and developing a team of approximately 14 employees.
• Creating clarity through structure, follow-up, and present leadership.
• Responsible for employee meetings, development discussions, and goal tracking.
• Ensuring the business meets set goals regarding quality, delivery, and customer benefit.
• Contributing to the development of working methods, processes, and the business as a whole.
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to create efficient and sustainable solutions.
• Actively participating in management work and contributing to both operational and strategic decisions.

You also have:

• Several years of experience as a first-line manager with personnel responsibility.
• Experience leading operational businesses with many contact surfaces.
• Ability to create structure and drive change in complex environments.
• Experience in business management, goal tracking, and delivery responsibility.
• A solution-oriented approach and good ability to make well-founded decisions.
• Very good communication skills and an ease in building long-term relationships.

It is particularly meritorious if you have experience with:

• Change management.
• Socially funded business or public transport.
• Politically governed organizations.
• Tendering, contracts, and supplier management.

• Workplace: Hybrid, on-site 3–4 days per week
• Start: According to agreement
• Assignment duration: 01 Sep 2026 - 31 May 2027 with possibility of extension.
